The women’s 2022 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship took place on Friday, Oct. 28 in St. George, Utah. American Beni Gras-Thompson won the 50-54 age group championship with a time of 5 hours, 1 minute, and 51 seconds. Canadian Karina Meik rounded out the 210 age group finishers with a time of 8 hours, 9 minutes, and 2 seconds.
Each athlete had to finish the race in 8 hours and 30 minutes.
We applaud those who crossed the finish line, and especially those who tried their very best to beat the race’s time deadline! Each woman had trained for months (if not years) and then raced in one (or more!) IRONMAN 70.3 events in an effort to qualify for this championship race. May their dedication, passion, and grit inspire us to achieve our own unique potential for fitness, strength, endurance, and overall health!
