Here is a comprehensive list of state and local senior games (often called “senior Olympics”) for women and men aged 50 or better. Events offer individual and team athletic competitions (such as archery, basketball skills, track and field, and volleyball) and games (such as blackjack, bridge and cribbage). Some games include unique competitions such as Cowboy Action Shoot!

The events welcome participants of all abilities and experience level, and most are open to out-of-state athletes. A few may require qualification, meaning the senior athlete must meet certain criteria in order to compete.

How the Listings are Organized

  • The states are listed in alphabetical order
  • The first event listed is the state’s qualifying event for the National Senior Games Association’s biennial competition (which 2016 is that year!). These are noted as (NSGA).
  • Other senior games organized by counties, cities or civic groups are then listed, followed by event dates, location, and contact information such as website or phone number.

Be sure to call or visit the event’s website for the latest information including signing up for their email alerts and e-newsletters. Dates, sports, games, and other event aspects may change at any time and at their discretion.

Please bookmark this page as it will be updated as information is received by events’ organizers. Let me know of any additions, changes or corrections, too!
