New Track & Field Team in Las Vegas for Athletes Age 50+

A new track and field team has formed in Las Vegas, Nevada for athletes age 50 or better of all abilities and experience levels.

The Vegas Sizzling Seniors trains for and competes in masters track and field competitions and local and state senior games including qualifying events for the biennial National Senior Games. Olympic-style competitions in southern Nevada include the Henderson Senior Games, Mesquite Senior Games and Nevada Senior Games.

While the goal is to improve athleticism and performance, the group fosters friendship, fellowship, support, and overall health and fitness.

The team has one weekly practice at Myron Partridge Track on the campus of UNLV and is seeking a second location for early morning workouts. Work has started on selecting a team uniform.
