Race to Qualify for the 2019 National Senior Games

Across the U.S., senior games organizers offer a variety of sports and games events from archery and bridge to volleyball and poker. Others offer less common sports such as triathlon and unique competitions such as Cowboy Action Shoot!

With consistency in training and a bit of luck in your chosen sport at a state “qualifying” competition, you could qualify for the 2019 National Senior Games to be held June 14-25 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Check out the entire list of sports at

The majority of state and local senior games welcome out-of-state athletes. Some are open to younger athletes 35 through 49 years of age (though qualification for the biennial National Senior Games is for athletes age 50 and over).  A few may require prior qualification, meaning the senior athlete must meet certain criteria in order to compete.

Below is a list of seniors-only, Olympic-style multi-sport competitions. Use this information to inspire you to start or renew your journey to improved fitness o sports ability. Make 2018 the year to go beyond your perceived limits. Reach for the stars…and make new friends along the way!
