WMAC’s 3000 Meter Race Walk Results

May 11, 2017 By Bonnie Parrish-Kell

USA’s Kathy Frable (St. George, Utah, fourth from right) with fellow race walk competitors at 2017 World Masters Athletic Championships Indoor Daegu, South Korea

Athletes over the age of 35 — and many in their senior years — traveled from around the world to compete for the 2017 World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor held March 19-25, 2017 in Daegu, South Korea. The United States was well represented and many athletes medaled in a number of track and field events.

I happily congratulate my friend and fellow race walker, Kathy Frable of St. George, Utah, for her second place finish in her age group!

The information below is from the WMACi 2017 Daegu results page. I’ve changed the format to one most commonly seen in the U.S. For instance, instead of  using  “W40” I opted for “Women 40-44” to note that specific five-year age group.  The World Masters Athletics (WMA) record time for that age group is then shown in parenthesis. Competitors are then listed in order of finish, first through last, and “DQ” for disqualification for rules infractions. Each competitor is then listed by their last name, then first name followed by age (such as “W41”) and country, and lastly their finishing time.

For more information about World Masters Athletics, go to www.world-masters-athletics.org.
