Congratulations to Tammy Hassenpflug of Georgia for taking third in Women’s 55-59 and tenth overall at the 2015 National Senior Games triathlon competition!
I love this photo taken after her finish. She beams with happiness, hoisting her bike high overhead in the sheer joy of success — after who knows how many weeks and hours of training.
The sprint distance triathlon comprised of a 400-meter open-water swim, 20K bike and a 5k run at Lake Phalen in St. Paul, MN on July 5, 2015.
Tammy’s times:
- Swim: 9 minutes, 5 seconds
- T1: 56 seconds
- Bike: 36 minutes, 58 seconds
- T2: 48 seconds
- Run: 27 minutes, 38 seconds
- Total: 1 hour, 15 minutes, 25 seconds
This speedy triathlete is a Slowpoke Diva because she’s going for her dreams, working toward big goals, and having fun while working hard and staying the course.
Can’t wait to see how Tammy does at the 2017 National Senior Games in triathlon! I’m sure she’ll be there.
