I just returned from my first walking workout in about a week. Took me almost 20 minutes to walk .97 miles.
And I’m tuckered out!
Why did it take so long and why am I tired?
Glad you asked. Here’s three reasons:
1. Haven’t done any aerobic work since my last workout.
2. My route was about a 3% grade after the first third of a mile then increased to almost 5% during the last 100 yards.
3. The area is another 2,400 feet higher in altitude than what I’m used to in Las Vegas.
I’ve caught my breath now and I can’t wait to do it again tomorrow.
