In addition to taking the XCELL Performance Group’s Holiday Fitness Challenge, I joining my coach’s newest program called the 30 Day Burpee Challenge.
Yes. I am crazy. But I need to burn calories!
So what is a “burpee”? It’s a combination of a squat, plank and leap — all working our feet, legs, arms, back, stomach, and everything in between.
You can start by standing upright, then bend toward the floor, place your hands on the floor, kick your feet out behind you until you’re in a plank position, hold for a couple seconds, jump your feet back to their starting position, and then return to an upright stance or jump up.
Watch for videos of me doing each day’s burpees. I’m sure I won’t be “picture perfect” but I will be doing what I can…and at my own pace.
The fun starts on Sunday, Dec. 1. Why don’t you join me? Just do what you can. I’m a firm believer in “something is better than nothing.” I’m sure we’ll get better the more we do it.
