List of 2015 Senior Games & Senior Olympics in the U.S.

2015 Senior Games: multi-sport competitions in the U.S. for athletes afe 50 or better. Background image is a map of the U.S.

The following is a comprehensive list of state and local senior games (also known as senior Olympics) for athletes age 50 or better. The events are comprised of individual and team athletic competitions (i.e. basketball, track and field) and games (i.e. blackjack, bridge, cribbage). Some offer unique competitions such as cowboy shooting.

The majority of events are open to out-of-state athletes and welcome participants of all abilities and experience level. A few may require qualification meaning the senior athlete must meet certain criteria in order to compete. The dates or months listed are subject to change per organizer’s discretion. Visit each events’ website for more information.

Listed first are the state qualifying events for the National Senior Games Association’s biennial competition and are noted as (NSGA). Indented under these games are local senior games often organized by counties, cities or civic groups.  Visit the NSGA’s state pages for an at-a-glance list of sports and games offered at the state games.

Please bookmark this page as it will be updated as information is received by events’ organizers.

Let me know of any additions, changes or corrections, too!

  1. I am very interested in hearing more about the Senior Games. I have participated in one event and enjoyed meeting and getting to know others (in my age category 70-74).

    Please keep me posted,

  2. I am interested in the Basketball Free Throw Shooting and Basketball Spot Shooting events (Age: 70-74).

Is there anyone in SC, NC, GA, AL, and/or FL who know of competition in these events?
By the way, the best things in life are FREE (THROWS)!!!

    Dave

    • Thank you, Dave! I have a good friend in her 80s who is still playing basketball. She has better moves than many gals half her age.

Do check out the senior games listed on the page for those states. If they don’t have the events you’re looking for, the games’ directors may know of smaller, local events too.

Always here to help! Keep on playing, Dave!

  3. Cherry DuLaney says:

Please, oh please, create another list like this for 2016! This was even more valuable to me than other tournament websites I visited because you understand NSGA’s qualifying events system. Thanks, Cherry D.

    • Bonnie Parrish-Kell says:

Thanks so much, Cherry! So happy you found this page helpful. And yes, there will be a 2016 post, esp. since 2016 is another qualifying year.

  4. Mary G. says:

Thanks for the state-by state descriptions. It was too hard to find this information, until I reached this page.
